CBN350 is a grade that has been designed to be a tough complement to CBN300, resulting in reduced chipping and edge flaking in "aggressive" workpiece materials.
As insert wear rate is dictated by contact time, the shorter contact time offered by increasing CBN350's feed rate will improve overall tool life. This can result in more parts per index. In addition, increasing the feed rate will reduce overall cycle time resulting in increased productivity.
CBN350 is designed for roughing hardened steels, roughing and finishing of manganese steels and roughing and finishing of chilled and white cast iron.
