R220.99 is member of the square shoulder family. It is a universal cutter for slotting, contouring and face milling operations in ordinary steel (up to about 300HB) easier stainless steels and cast iron.
The cutter family has square inserts (SONX) which provide four usable edges. By a special design on a square insert, a 90 degree setting angle obtained, without weakening the side cutting edge.
