Aerospace Inspiration Through Innovation 2022 - September 28th

We're working with our event partners to prepare an inspiring program of aerospace manufacturing demonstrations and seminars. The event will be hosted from our Innovation Hub at Seco Tools UK in Warwickshire. In the morning (BST), we will stream the machining demonstrations so that you can take part in the live Q&A virtually or join our live audience at the Innovation Hub stage.

Seco and technical partners will host the first hybrid (physical and virtual) Inspiration through Innovation on 28 September, 2022. Join us for this exciting event, focused on aerospace manufacturing, to learn from live machining demonstrations, an inspiring seminar programme, and great networking opportunities.

MACHINING DEMONSTRATIONS

Inspiring machining demonstrations showcased at Aero ITI 2022 will include:

Power skiving and on-machine broaching on an Inconel jet engine compressor disk
WAAM (wire-arc additive manufacturing) of an Inconel blisk hub and production of the additive manufactured tools used to finish the part
Highlights from ongoing projects such as automated holemaking in stacked composites, aggressive structural machining, and a one-shot approach to aluminium A-frame machining.

SEMINARS

Technical partners will share inspiring live discussions and seminars on various topics and challenges facing the aerospace manufacturing segment, such as:

Partnerships to support sustainability ambitions
Physics of machining in superalloys
Efficient machining in difficult materials such as CFRP and stacked composites
Finding value in data, digitalisation, traceability, and automation

Inspiration through Innovation demonstrates the value of collaboration in the pursuit of innovation in aerospace manufacturing. Aero ITI 2022 will explore collaborative solutions to common challenges manufacturing aerospace components, in difficult materials, using innovative strategies.
