Responsible Business
At Seco, we recognize that sustainable business practices require a commitment to economic, environmental, and social responsibility. Our goal is to transform our entire value chain by upholding the highest standards of ethical business conduct, transparency, and rigorous due diligence.

Seco reports annually at the Group level through EcoVadis to share our sustainability metrics and progress regarding labor and human rights, sustainable procurement and ethics.
In 2024, Sandvik was awarded the silver medal after a comprehensive assessment of Group sustainability practices.

Seco is committed to the responsible sourcing of minerals and metals, including 3TG (tantalum, tungsten, tin, and gold).
Our due diligence process mirrors the OECD Guidance and its five-step framework, aiming to uphold high standards of supply chain integrity and zero tolerance for forced labor and child labor.
Our commitment is publicly stated at the Group level.
To support our responsible sourcing efforts, we partner with the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), which provides tools and resources to make informed sourcing decisions, enhance regulatory compliance and enable transparency in our supply chain.
Every year, we provide a comprehensive and detailed report on our due diligence process and results in responsible mineral and metal sourcing. We encourage our stakeholders to explore the full report to gain a thorough understanding of our progress and next steps.
Sustainable supplier management is a cornerstone of Responsible Business at Seco, reflecting our commitment to positively impacting society. Many of our greatest challenges originate within our supply chain. Our goal is to ensure that our high standards, which encompass environmental practices, anti-bribery, trade controls, privacy, fair competition, health and safety, human rights, and labor practices, are consistently upheld throughout our supply chain.
Our pillars of sustainable supplier management are rooted in our Supplier Code of Conduct and risk screening processes.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct is a set of sustainability requirements for our supply chain.
We expect our suppliers to align with our values and commitments, diligently upholding these standards and integrating them into their operations.
To do business with Seco, suppliers must accept and comply with our Code of Conduct.
We conduct risk screening of our supply chain, focusing on four key areas:
- Labor Rights & Human Rights,
- Environment,
- Sustainable Procurement,
- Ethics.
To support this goal, we partner with EcoVadis to assess and monitor our suppliers’ sustainability practices. We encourage our suppliers to actively engage with EcoVadis, fostering a collaborative approach to sustainability.
At Seco, we are dedicated to upholding internationally recognized human rights and ensuring fair working conditions, as outlined in our Code of Conduct. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of forced or compulsory labor, including modern slavery, bonded labor, prison labor, and child labor.
We also expect our suppliers and business partners to share this commitment, which is clearly stated in our Supplier and Business Partner Code of Conduct. Any reports or discoveries of human rights risks associated with our operations will be thoroughly investigated, addressed, and reported in accordance with applicable laws.
Seco encourages all stakeholders to report concerns and violations of our Code of Conduct through the Group whistle-blowing system. The reporting system, Speak Up, is available online or via local telephone lines listed in our Code of Conduct or on our website.
Reporting any concerns or violations is essential for maintaining our high standards. All reports are thoroughly evaluated and responded to, with investigations conducted if necessary.
