FB 760 - Axiabore, axial fine boring heads
Axiabore™ type fine boring heads are designed for precision, productivity and cost effectiveness. With a large range of solid carbide or modular tools, they cover a wide range of diameters and applications.
Available with either a Graflex® or Seco-Capto™ connection, Axiabore type heads are a multi-operations system: boring, OD-overturning and grooving with a limited tool inventory. The product range consists of five boring heads: Nanobore®, Axiabore®, Axiabore® Plus and the balanceable Axialibrabore™ and Axialibrabore™.
Nanobore is for extremely small diameters. With a capacity from 0.3 to 8 mm (0.012" to 0.315"), it offers the smallest boring diameters on the market. Nanobore produces perfect hole geometries with a hole diameter precision of +/- 3 µm and an excellent surface finish of Ra = 0.6. It is ideal for watchmaking, micromechanics or aerospace applications.
The Axiabore and Axiabore Plus offer boring capacities from 2 to 108 mm (.078" - 4.25") with two boring heads. These heads produce perfect hole geometries with a hole diameter precision of +/- 3 µm and an excellent surface finish of Ra = 0.6. The Axiabore A760 02 small head is for fine boring Ø 2 to 20 mm (0.078" - 0.78"), while the Axiabore Plus A760 03 multi-purpose head is for fine boring Ø 6 to 108 mm (0.236" - 4.25"), OD-overturning Ø 2 to 57 mm (0.078" - 2.24"), grooving Ø 19 to 96 mm (0.75" - 3.78").
Axialibrabore and Axialibrabore Plus are for high speed machining, up to 1500 m/min. These heads produce perfect hole geometries with a hole diameter precision of +/- 3 µm and an excellent surface finish (Ra=0,6). They are extremely user friendly and feature balancing with a single ring that eliminates the need to refer to balancing charts and easy to read Vernier diameter setting. AxiaLibraBore is a small balanceable head for fine boring Ø 2 to 20 mm (0.078 - 0.78"), while AxiaLibraBore Plus is for fine boring Ø 6 to 33 mm (0.236" – 1.3").
