Control Gauges
Control gauges are used to check the clamping capability of the hydraulic chuck. This takes place by inserting the control gauge into the chuck and tightening the clamping screw until you cannot turn the control gauge. Then it should be possible to complete a minimum of three full turns of the pressurising screw before completely tightening (2.5 turns for ∅ 6 mm and ∅ 8 mm). This will confirm clamping capability is adequate.
Note: Detailed control instructions are part of the operating instruction sheet delivered with the hydraulic chucks.
