Reach the deepest holes in your Turning operations
Accurately and confidently perform long-reach turning and boring operations that are virtually impossible to do with conventional solutions thanks to new additions to Seco’s series of Steadyline® turning/boring bars and their respective heads. Benefit from the industry’s most effective vibration dampening system incorporated within the new turning bars to easily turn and bore to depths up to 10xD for both small and large size holes.
The series extensions include Ø25 mm (Ø1.00") Steadyline® bars, GL25-Turning heads, Ø100 mm (4.00") Steadyline® bars and rough and fine boring heads. The Ø25 mm (Ø1.00") Steadyline® bars with GL25 workpiece side connection are for 6xD, 8xD and 10xD reaches and include carbide-reinforced bars for the deepest reaches along with Seco-Capto™, HSK-T/A and cylindrical shank machine side interfaces.
The GL25-Turning heads encompass 16 turning heads including general turning, recessing and back boring heads with DN..11, CC..09, DC..07, DC..11, TC..11 and VB..11 inserts. The larger size Ø100 mm (4.00") Steadyline® bars accommodate existing GL50 turning heads and include Jetstream® solutions, through a BA-to-GL50 adapter. For rough and fine boring, heads with BA060 and BA080 machine side interfaces allow for boring diameters from 66 mm to 115 mm (2.60" to 4.53").
For both turning and boring Steadyline® operations, shops can quickly and effortlessly exchange tool heads by virtue of Seco’s unique GL connection. The GL connection ensures a fast and firm mounting of the heads to the Steadyline® bars with modularity and possibility of 180° head orientation. GL-connection also ensures a centering accuracy and repeatability of 5 microns.
