Easily address a high mix of Turning jobs with one all-purpose grade
Designed for exceptional versatility, the TP25 grade handles a wide range of applications with proven geometries for steel turning and beyond. To keep up with the mix of applications, parts and materials necessary to meet the needs of their customers, today’s manufacturers need tooling solutions that get jobs done quickly and correctly the first time. The new TP25 grade from Seco Tools offers that level of reliability across the full range of steel turning applications and beyond. Offered with a complete range of proven geometries, this versatile grade ensures manufacturers have a tool on hand that can provide reliability and stability for any job.
To keep lead times low in a high-mix/low-volume (HMLV) production environment, manufacturers need to get parts finished and ready for delivery as soon as possible. This doesn’t leave much time for optimization, so select a truly versatile grade that offers good performance no matter the application needs: TP25. At moderate cutting speeds, this grade can reliably handle large and small components for applications ranging from roughing with intermittent cuts to finishing with high-quality surface.
To stay competitive, manufacturers must have the tools to process a wider range of part materials than ever.
Simplify your toolroom with the exceptional versatility of the TP25 grade.
In addition to handling virtually all steels (SMG P1-P12), this grade provides good results for simple and demanding stainless steels (SMG M1-M4) as well.
The grade offers reliable performance in cast iron, especially nodular ductile irons (SMG K1-K4), and can even handle applications involving easier heat-resistant superalloys (SMG S1-S3).
Never waste another insert edge or scrap a part with a re-used edge again. Used-Edge Detection technology, initially developed by Seco Tools for its Duratomic® grades, uses an extremely thin chrome-colored coating that makes edge use easily visible to the naked eye, even in low light. A simple, effective innovation, Seco Used-Edge Detection reduces insert edge waste by 10-20% and improves process security for savings that quickly add up.
180 new inserts currently available for most common toolholders in a complete range of geometries, including:
Your benefits Exceptional application and material versatility. Reliable performance at moderate cutting speeds. High-quality surface finishes. Used-Edge Detection for minimal waste. Covers all applications with a wide range of proven geometries.
