Yes, all Seco sites over 25 FTEs are certified according to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, as well as ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Yes, in line with our commitment to providing sustainable products, we require our suppliers to provide information on whether the components provided by them contain any substance listed on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) list or if their products contain Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) substances in concentration above the limit. Furthermore, we conduct annual reporting with our suppliers in line with the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template. Additionally, we work with chemical compliance in line with TSCA, Prop 65, Poison Center and PFAS. This is a changing landscape, and we work actively to understand new legislation and how it impacts us and our value chain.
We know our impact is not limited to our operations, and are actively working to identify, prevent, mitigate, and address adverse environmental, and human rights impacts that may arise in our value chain. To this extent, signing the Sandvik Supplier Code of Conduct is a pre-requisite to do business with us. Our Code applies to our suppliers and business partners laying out sustainability requirements on suppliers’ operations and even their supply chain. All suppliers must comply with it. Additionally, we have due diligence systems in place to risk screening our supply chain and guide our engagement with suppliers.

We have aligned our sustainable business roadmap with both the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement through our commitment to the Science Based Target Initiative.
Seco supports the UN International Bill of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention against Corruption as outlined in the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, in which Seco participate. Seco is committed to adhering to these principles as well as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The Code of Conduct sets the principles for how Seco turn their purpose and values into everyday behavior to support the long-term goals of the business.
Seco is committed to creating a toxic-free environment and ensuring the safe use of chemicals in our production. We strive to reduce chemical usage in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of metal cutting solutions to minimize health and safety impacts. Seco ensures best practices in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) by integrating EHS issues into all operations, promoting active and visible EHS leadership, and fostering a strong EHS culture. We achieve continual improvement through the consultation and participation of workers and their representatives, setting and monitoring EHS objectives and targets, and sharing best practices throughout the company.
